It is a diferent place. It is inside the jungle, without any luxury. At the same time, it is not far away from the village and the beach, about 10 minutes walking. Anyway, I liked, because I am a lover of Diferent places.
If you look for to be near the beach, you have to walk a little bit. There is not a new hotel, it is a Bungalow inside the mountain.

Nice view, friendly staff. Met us at the ferry and carried our luggage up all the stair to the bungalow.
Standard of the room was pretty poor, we expected more. The curtains didn't cover the windows, no place to put your clothes, interesting bathroom, walls were very thin could here the neighbors very clearly. Wouldn't recommend for a long stay, a couple of nights was ok.

It was far enough away from the townn so that it was quiet/peaceful. It was close enough to walk comfortably (uphill/downhill). There were great views of the bays. Wifi worked well and breakfasts were simple and tasty.
It was a steep climb up to the cabin, but I worked my butt and leg muscles :).

Rooms were extremely spacious and gorgeous!
The staff and people generally were very kind and lovely. That hotel was in a stunning and marvellous location, in the mountain side. I usually went to October Resto to grab a bite.

not much to be honest! the only good thing was free wi-fi
staff, smell of the kitchen, frogs and bugs on the way, the access was horrible was we had to walk through an open sewage! phi phi has a great potential if the manage better the rubbish in the island and the locals treat tourist more friendly!

If you want location and comfort, think twice before stay in this hotel. This hotel is located close to stores, but on the top of a mountain. Every time I thought about go out and had a long up and down walk, besides all the stairs from my cabana to outside, I wanted to cry. The staff is okay, but to return to the pier with your luggage's, they charged my family for each adult, plus the tip that we gave to the guys that helped us. When we arrived there, they did not charge, we only tipped them. I had the cabana with ac, tv, and hot shower, it was cute. A small refrigerator would be a awesome, especially with you traveling with children.

Location very bad. It's the last resort of the town (literally the last, believe me), so you have to walk a lot from the pier, and the path is not good at the last part, specially if it has rained. Very hard to find it. The Wifi signal is very poor. The breakfast also very poor. The walls are so thin, so you can hear your neighbours. There are no hangers on the entire room and bathroom, so you had to invent where to put your clothes to dry.
